"If You Don't Prepare, You Can't Complain" - Article on Getting Ready
We've created the Red Cross Community Challenge. Check out how your city ranks, and if they're not partnering with us, urge your city leaders to join. We'll tap the competitive spirit of every community and challenge them to be the most Red Cross Ready City.
Throughout 2007, partnering with city leaders, community organizations, and YOU, we'll turn everyone in the Twin Cities area into a lifesaver who can prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies.
All you have to do to join the Red Cross Community Challenge is take a CPR/First Aid class. To learn more about our classes and registration- click here or call 612-872-3245.
Then make redcrosstc.org a favorite on your computer and check in each week to see how your city ranks. Spread the word and encourage your friends, family and neighbors to become lifesavers too!
We want to thank the cities and their leaders who have stepped up to join the challenge so far.

There are other ways you can become a Red Cross "Community Hero"!
Teach a Class
The Red Cross provides important training in all aspects of LIFESAVING and community safety. If you have the qualifications and the skills, you can be a volunteer instructor. If you don't have the necessary training, but you want to teach, we'll train you. volunteers@redcrosstc.org
Talk to Your Neighbors
Become a "Community Hero" in your own city! Talk to your neighbors at events, in schools and other locations throughout the Twin Cities. As a trained volunteer, you can help your city GET READY for disasters, fires, storms, pandemic and more. E-mail Viviana at vsotro@redcrosstc.org or call her at 612-872-3224
Our presentations are also tailored to specific multicultural groups.
For more info, e-mail Chris Burns at cburns@redcrosstc.org or call 612-252-1031. Let him know that you want your city to GET READY!
