In a split second, your life can change. Sure, you lock your doors, wear a seatbelt and don't walk under ladders. But every second life is happening around you. And in a flash, you could be on the ground, not able to breath, unconscious, or near death. At that very second a Red Cross Lifesaver could be nearby to save you. Trained paramedics are first responders with the Twin Cities Red Cross Emergency Medical Team.
Each day, year round, throughout Twin Cities' sports venues and community events, the Red Cross makes sure there are trained EMTs waiting in the wings, in case something happens to you in public. It could be your seven-year-old slipping in the aisle and hurting his leg at a Wild game. It could be a loved one overheated and dehydrated at the State Fair. Or it could be you, having early signs of a fatal heart attack.
The Twin Cities Red Cross wants to expand the EMS unit. We offer the most in depth EMT classes in the Twin Cities, providing you the best range of topics and clinical training. Classes are held at three locations where you can gain your certification and classes to refresh your certification every two years. Click here for more information on how to become certified.
