Volunteer Enrollment Process / Checklist

  • Submit this application. If you’re under 18, please use a youth application, available on the web site or by calling 612-872-3204.
  • Complete a Red Cross background check. These are required of all American Red Cross volunteers age 18 or over.
  • Attend a volunteer orientation session. A current schedule is available on our web site. Look under “volunteer.”
  • Interested in disaster volunteering? Complete the online introduction at and classroom “Fulfilling our Mission………
  • Program Interview. When you’ve completed the above steps, we’ll contact you to schedule an interview for the program(s) you’re interested in.

Requirements may be revised or added to meet American Red Cross policies and procedures.
